Look no gas

In a gas boiler we have a small metal loop, where the gas flame passes heat to the boiler water. We replace this with a small glass loop – a curved 10x1cm loop.
We fill with regular water vapour to 4 atmospheres: we may choose to fill it with extermal steam. We use the electronics to fire up a steam plasma. Suddenly we get 580kW of heat – as we do Molecular Nuclear Fusion
1 H2O+PL->E2+L+X-ray E1=580kW
No radioactive materials used or produced. Regular water, torn aparts, to energy, light and as much X-rays as burning gas produces.

We get 74kW of power. This is enough to power a street of houses. We pass it through a central heating system, where the gas at 560oC is enough to do a street heating program.
